Data measured and stored by the wireless vibration sensor ZARK Nano, installed on monitored machinery, can be collected using ZARK NI mobile app(*1). Simply carry your smartphone while patrolling the ZARK Nano installation area(*2). Machine condition data can be collected easily and safely from a distance with the smartphone and then transferred to machine condition monitoring system, infiSYS 3.0.

*1. Available for both iOS and Android smartphones.
*2. Within the Bluetooth communication range from the smartphone (approximately 40 meters in line of sight).

Function briefs

In this application, using the same wireless vibration sensor ‘ZARK Nano’ as the on-premises rotating machinery condition monitoring system infiSYS 3.0 integrated with the ZARK X8II gateway, and the measured data stored in ZARK Nano can be collected and uploaded to infiSYS 3.0 (installed with the patrol inspection option) using ZARK NI mobile app during routine patrol inspections.

Customers can benefit from the following aspects:

  1. Obtain more frequent and higher quality measurement data for better monitoring of machine conditions.
  2. Improve the safety of conventional patrol inspection operations by collecting measurement data away from ZARK Nano via Bluetooth communication.
  3. Reduce initial costs by eliminating the need for deploying the ZARK X8II gateway and on-site Wi-Fi infrastructure.
  4. Confirm the machine conditions with the live trend and spectrum functions of ZARK NI at on-site.

Furthermore, the system can also meet customers’ needs when they are ready to switch to automated data collection mode by deploying the ZARK X8II gateway as well as an on-site Wi-Fi infrastructure in future.

Main features

Enable flexible patrol intervals with the storage capability in ZARK Nano (Up to 100 measurements)

  • 3 axis vibration data (acceleration, velocity, Top 10 spectrum)
  • Temperature
  • Configurable data collection interval: 1, 2, 4, 6, 12 or 24 hours. Data in alarm state will trigger a half-interval (with a minimum of 1 hour) data collection.

Catch and store unpredictable anomaly data

Up to 100 measurements of both the configured periodic and the unpredicted WakeUp data*

*Upon the detection of over-the-WakeUp-threshold vibration.

Trend monitoring, analysis & diagnosis

The data stored in ZARK Nano are collected with a smartphone during the patrol inspection and uploaded to the machine condition monitoring system infiSYS 3.0 for trend monitoring and failure predication diagnosis.
Functionalities of Top 10 Trend report and Top 10 Diagnosis report provide visual and statistical information on machine and bearing conditions that may facilitate the process of and save the time on machine maintenance related tasks.

Data collection from one specific ZARK Nano or those grouped in specified machines or areas

Multiple ZARK Nano units can be grouped into a machine, and multiple machines can be grouped into an area. This functionality enables parallel patrol inspection-based data collection by operators responsible for different machines or areas.

Switching to automated data collection

The adoption of the machine condition monitoring solution with ZARK Nano, ZARK NI, and infiSYS 3.0 can be flexible to match customer needs and operational stages. Starting small with just one ZARK Nano, transitioning to a mix of patrol-based and automated monitoring, and eventually moving to a fully automated mode are all possible and can be achieved seamlessly.

Customers can benefit from automated data collection that enables optimized maintenance in the plant with the capabilities of vibration waveform data collection, vibration diagnostics, and automatic email alert notifications.
